面试失败以后

bì yè毕业nà那nián年，wǒ我tóu投le了hěn很duō多jiǎn lì简历，dàn shì但是zhǐ只shōu dào收到jǐ几gè个huí fù回复。

In my graduation year I sent out a lot of CVs but only got a few replies.

yǒu有yī一cì次miàn shì面试，wǒ我zhǔn bèi准备dé得hěn很rèn zhēn认真，jié guǒ结果hái shi还是shī bài失败le了。

For one interview I prepared very carefully, and I still failed.

hòu lái后来wǒ我cái才zhī dào知道，tā men他们xū yào需要de的shì是yǒu有jīng yàn经验de的rén人。

Only later did I learn that they wanted someone with experience.

nà那cì次shī bài失败ràng让wǒ我míng bai明白：guāng光yǒu有rè qíng热情shì是bù gòu不够de的。

That failure taught me that enthusiasm alone is not enough.

yú shì于是wǒ我xiān先zhǎo找le了yī一fèn份shí xí实习，cóng从zuì最jiǎn dān简单de的shì qing事情zuò做qǐ起。

So I found an internship first and started with the simplest tasks.

yī一nián年yǐ hòu以后，wǒ我yòu又qù去miàn shì面试tóng yī同一jiā家gōng sī公司，zhè这cì次tōng guò通过le了。

A year later I interviewed with the same company again, and this time I got through.

miàn shì面试bù不zhǐ shì只是huí dá回答jǐ几gè个wèn tí问题，tā它shì是ràng让bié ren别人xiāng xìn相信nǐ你néng能zuò做hǎo好。

An interview is not just answering a few questions — it is convincing someone you can do the job.

měi每yī一cì次shī bài失败，qí shí其实dōu都zài在bāng帮nǐ你zhǔn bèi准备xià下yī一cì次。

Every failure is really helping you prepare for the next one.
