NihaoLearn is a small, independent site. Email is the only channel we check — there is no support desk and no contact form, so nothing you send gets lost in a ticket system.
What is worth an email
- A correction. A pinyin that is wrong, a definition that misses the common sense of a word, a translation that reads oddly. Paste the page URL (or just the word) — that is the version of this email we can fix fastest.
- Something broken. Audio that will not play, a page that 404s, text that overflows on your phone. Tell us the browser and the device; a screenshot is even better.
- Licensing and attribution. Our data comes from CC-CEDICT, Unihan, makemeahanzi and Tatoeba, and every page says where that particular content came from. If you need the details for a citation or a reuse question, ask.
- Anything else about the site — including offers to help. We are one small team, so a detailed message beats a short one.
What we cannot do by email
- One-to-one tutoring or homework help. This is a free tool site, not a school.
- Pronunciation feedback by email. The tone trainer and shadowing practice record you in the browser and score your pitch curve against a recording — that works far better than a description in an email.
When you will hear back
Usually within a few days. Every message gets read, even when a full reply takes longer — corrections are the ones we act on first.
Your address is only used to reply. There is no mailing list, no newsletter and no third-party marketing tool sitting behind this page.
