HSK word lists you can download
The same vocabulary data this site runs on, as plain files. Two versions of the standard (HSK 3.0 with seven levels, HSK 2.0 with six), each word with its pinyin, part of speech and an English definition — plus a word → level map for quick lookups. No signup, no email, nothing to install.
We keep these files in sync with the word lists on the site (which also have audio and example sentences) and with the graded readings that state how much of each passage stays inside a level.

JSON (all levels)
An array of objects with exactly those five keys, UTF-8, one line — same content as the CSV.
Using these files
Word and level data come from the official HSK 3.0 (2021) and HSK 2.0 (2009) standard vocabularies, compiled and checked by us. Practically: use them however you like, including commercially.
English definitions, pinyin and part-of-speech tags come from CC-CEDICT, which is licensed CC BY-SA 4.0. If you redistribute these files, keep that attribution, and if you modify those fields, share them under the same licence.
