Account

Sign in with your email — there is no password to remember. Your study list, practice history and streak live in this browser today; an account is what will let them follow you to another device.

Checking your sign-in…

Signing in turns on syncing for your study list (the words you save and their review schedule). The rest of your progress follows in a later release.

Why an account

Your data is in this browser today

Saved words, spaced repetition scheduling, practice history, shadowing scores and your daily streak are all stored locally — which is why the site works offline and asks for nothing. The trade-off is that a new laptop, or a cleared browser, starts empty.

Signing in adds a copy

With an account, the same data gets stored against your email so it can follow you to another device. Signing out never deletes anything from this browser.

What you are asked for

Just an email address, used to sign you in. No password, no name, no phone number, and no marketing email — the only messages we send are the sign-in codes you ask for.

Why email instead of a password

A one-time code cannot be leaked from a breach of ours because we never store it: we keep only a hash, it works once, and it expires in 15 minutes. Nothing here is worth making you remember a password for.

Where do I start?
