Speed
因为 gives the reason and 所以 gives the result. Chinese uses both halves where English would only use one.
In speech you can drop 因为 when the reason is obvious: 下雨了，所以我没去。

Watch out
- 不要和「因为……但是……」混在一起 —— 那是两套逻辑。
- 因为 can also answer a 为什么 question on its own: 因为下雨。
